Is there a link between Feng Shui and Chinese astrology?

Proper Feng Shui has many connections with Chinese astrology. Indeed, the most efficient Feng Shui is the one that totally connects your living place with your birth chart. I do not speak of the mundane form of Chinese astrology based on the animal of the year only. As a Feng Shui expert I use Bazi (the 4 pillars of destiny) for all my Feng Shui consultations. How do you use Bazi and Feng Shui together?

Feng Shui and Bazi are the two side of a coin: they interact and influence each other. Let me explain more in details. Based on the Bazi, and to keep it to the most common cases, we can establish the following list:

 

• A Weak Metal person favours Earth and Metal

• A Strong Metal person favours Water and Wood, Fire as a very last option

 

• A Weak Water person favours Metal and Water

• A Strong Water person favours Wood and Fire, Earth as a very last option

 

• A Weak Wood person favours Water and Wood

• A Strong Wood person favours Fire and Earth, Metal as a very last option

 

• A Weak Fire person favours Wood and Fire

• A Strong Fire person favours Earth and Metal, Water as a very last option

That means that it is unwise to enhance all areas and all Elements like some Feng Shui practice do. In such case you enhance both the good and the bad, and end up enhancing nothing at all! If you are a Weak Fire person for example and boost a Water sector, you will end up totally “washed down”, exhausted, and with problems relating to your boss and work to name a few! Other schools have a real “hit or miss” factor: I can safely make such an assumption as I have previously learned traditional Flying Stars, Ba Zhai, San He and the “Western Feng Shui” over my years of trials and mistakes, before I connected to a real master.
