Choosing the right unit with Feng Shui
Feng Shui for flats is not much different from Feng shui for houses. The same rules apply when choosing the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom location. However there are a few other points to be checked:
• The Feng Shui setup of your individual unit matters more than the setup of the all block/condominium.
• If you can combine both, for example if the main door/chi mouth of the condo brings in a good Element for you, it’s even better. Otherwise focus on your individual unit.
• However look at the 4 celestials animals formation around the block of units
• Look also for sources of Sha Chi such as an incoming road hitting the building, a nearby elevated highway and train, other buildings etc. See if they affect your unit or row of units
• Be careful not to be overshadowed by nearby high-rise condos
• Swimming pool have to be taken into consideration, then can affect the Feng Shui of your whole block or unit
How to choose a good unit then?
To choose a unit, first check the points I have previously listed. Remember than the setup of your individual unit matters more than the one of the whole block or building. Therefore it is very important to have a facing that receive the right supporting Element for the people living in. If you are weak wood for example, a north, east or southeast facing might be appropriate. Best is to try to combine your supportive Element with your house group, if possible.
Flats are less flexible than houses in term of modification you can make, especially if you are renting the place. However the Feng Shui setup affects you all the same! Therefore it is very wise to call in an expert to check the different flats you are considering moving in.
If you have already moved in, energetic changes can still be made through the bedroom, the colours etc. The internal Water exit and stove location, in most case, cannot be move. Better be safe than sorry then!
