Swimming pool and Feng Shui
Is it good Feng Shui to have a swimming pool nearby?
In regards to traditional Feng Shui, swimming pools are a real bummer, if I may say so! I understand they are nice and an added-value to any property for most people. However when it comes to traditional Feng Shui, any medium or large body should be at kept at a distance from your property, not next to it.
There are several problems that can arise with a swimming pool:
• They can activate an area which should rather be kept quiet during this period of time
• They can spoil a good sector or area if very close to your unit
• They can divert a good incoming Chi
• They can bring too much of the Water Element that you might not be able to take in with your chart
• They can weaken the Tiger site which is related to money
• They can bring an external Water flow that is not auspicious etc.
However, in some specific case, they can actually be well placed for your unit and activate some good formation such as the “five ghosts carry treasures” one. As an expert I would therefore not automatically discard a condominium because of the swimming pool, but rather look at the influence it brings to your own unit.
