What is the Sha Chi?

Sha Chi (also known as Shar Chi, Sha Qi, or Shar Qi) is a Chinese name that means “killing Chi”. It designs a strong Chi, hitting a place with too much of an impact; or a flow of Chi that is too strong. Therefore it becomes aggressive rather than beneficial.

This energy can have an impact on your house or business. Sha Chi sent by the external environment is a complex problem. It can be sent by a road hitting your house, a sea front, a sharp building, a “wind tunnel” etc.

However several parameters have to be checked to understand if your place receives or not some Sha Chi. For example:

• Only a certain orientation of building will send some Sha Chi.

• The size of the building must be taken into account

• The distance from the building also determines if it sends Sha Chi or not Moreover the effect of the Sha Chi might not be permanent, and might not affect everyone! Sha Chi:

• Might only be activated through certain years

• Might affect some rooms of only and not all of them

• Might affect some people only depending of their Bazi So not everything is Sha Chi.

Once I have seen some Sha Chi problems in your surroundings, I can determine what type of matters it brings to your household or business and propose some solution to avoid or convert it. The point is to take advantage of the Sha Chi rather than being a victim of its bad effects.

What about the Sha Chi inside my house?

The truth is that there is very few case of internal Sha Chi. The size of the items, furniture and walls do not qualify to create Sha Chi. Surprise! So all those fancy books talking about the sharp corners of your book shelves or the aggressive cactus that wants to suck the life out of you are bogus!

This is another case of Mac Feng Shui, where a real Feng shui concept –the Sha Chi that can be sent through some external structures – is transformed into a fake idea, internal Sha Chi coming from book shelves. Nothing in traditional Feng shui knowledge talks about sharp angle of furniture and cactus.

The exception however is about beams. Beams have a real effect, and sleeping under a transversal beam can “cut” your belly or genital organs, and lead to health problem. However the solution here is to orient the bed in another direction, or to build a fake ceiling to hide them. “Remedies” like beams bamboo flutes are nonsense (same with the “Feng Shui Lucky bamboo” by the way!). They are another example of modern marketing that has no root in traditional Feng Shui.
