What are the Feng Shui rules for the toilets?
What about the toilets Feng Shui? The bowl should be closed at all time, shouldn’t it?
Ah! Another Mc Feng Shui myth! Please bear in mind that the first traces of Feng Shui are from Neolithic China, and that most authentic lineages are thousands of years old. The Han Wu San Yuan Feng Shui I follow is 2500 years old for example. So at this time there were no indoor toilets, and no toilet bowls! Toilets were outside, and were a hole in the ground. Therefore this rule of Feng Shui seems to be a very modern development, and as such should be regarded with high suspicion.
However it is true that the toilet will be an exit point of the Chi. Logically the same rule as the bathroom applies:
• It should not violate a good sector
• It should be on the right internal Water exit for the building.
The Water exit has to be measured and calculated. If the toilet is on the right location, keeping the bowl open or close does not make any difference. If it is on the wrong location, keeping it close and flushing it with the lid close make a minimal difference.
In both cases this is not the big “don’t” that modern Feng Shui books make all the fuss about. This is a blatant example of modern Mc Feng Shui, like the mirrors scare!
